Latest recall was in my inbox this morning. Nothing unusual, we receive recall information frequently. But this recall certainly caught my eye and my attention.
The latest recall includes primals and subprimals (steaks, roasts, etc...), not your typical ground beef recall. Also interesting to me, this recall is linked to Whole Foods Market. A company that is built on a more natural food supply.
While I would assume that Whole Foods Market does many valuable things for their communities, through donations and sponsorships...it goes to show, if you want local products, the only certain way is to visit a local small family farm.
John's Custom Meats offers beef and pork meats originated from Barren and Warren County farms. We are a full service operation. From harvest, to processing, to further processing, to retail...we maintain control through every step. That process alone goes a long way in food safety. Buy local products whenever available. Doing so, supports the very community you live and work in. Farmers' Markets have a wide array of local offerings. If it's meat you need, our retail offers great selections of the highest quality beef and pork. Many outlets are available.
So visit a local shop, market, or farm today! Where ever you may be, show your support for local agriculture! They're feeding our families!
